Rear Derailleur Adjustment

Garbaruk Wide-Range Cassette (Gravel Setup)

💡

Note: Garbaruk wide-range cassettes are designed for 1x (single chainring) setups only and Flat-top chains.

1. Compatibility

  • The Garbaruk G-Link is required for SRAM Road AXS derailleurs that are non-XPLR.
  • The Garbaruk extended cage is needed for any 10–50T cassette and for Road AXS non-XPLR derailleurs.
  • XPLR derailleurs with the stock cage are compatible with a 10–48T cassette.

2. Chain length setup

Wrap the chain around the front chainring and the largest cassette cog, bypassing the derailleur.

Where the chain overlaps, add one inner link and one outer link—these are the two additional links.

The quick link will serve as the third added link.

3. Chain installation and positioning

Install the chain on the drivetrain, then shift to the second largest cog (second gear from the top of the cassette).

4. B-gap adjustment

Using the B-tension screw, adjust until the upper jockey wheel is almost touching (virtually tangent to) the largest cassette cog.

Once aligned, turn the B-tension screw in three full turns.

5. Tension check

Shift to the smallest cassette cog and check the chain tension.

If the chain feels loose, tighten by turning the B-tension screw one or two additional turns in.

6. Final shifting check

Shift through the largest cogs on the cassette to confirm smooth, precise movement.
