Garbaruk GEN2.0 13-Speed 10–52T Cassette

Installation & Setup Guide



This guide explains how to install and set up the Garbaruk GEN2.0 13-speed 10–52T cassette for SRAM Rival/Force/Red XPLR derailleurs.

    Tools Required 🔧


  • 3 mm security hex key (supplied with the cassette)
  • *Torx T25 key


Before you begin, choose the setup that matches your bike.


Choose Your Setup

Option 1 ​

Stock SRAM Cage

Choose this option if you are using the original SRAM Rival or Force XPLR cage.


If you have SRAM RED, please skip to option 2


You will need to:

  • Install the cassette
  • Remove the plastic cage cover of the original cage
  • Install the Garbaruk pulley bearing cover for the original SRAM pulleys
  • Set the correct chain length and derailleur adjustment

Option 2 ​

Garbaruk Derailleur Cage

Choose this option if you purchased and installed the Garbaruk derailleur cage

This is the only correct option for SRAM Red derailleurs.


You will need to:

  • Install the cassette
  • Install the Garbaruk derailleur cage
  • Set the correct chain length and derailleur adjustment

Option 1 — Stock Cage Setup Guide

STEP 1: Install the Cassette


Install the cassette on your bike the same way as any standard XD-driver cassette.

STEP 2: Install the Garbaruk Pulley Bearing Cover


Remove the original plastic cage cover from the SRAM derailleur cage and install the Garbaruk pulley bearing cover.

If you purchased Garbaruk 13-speed pulleys, installing the custom pulley bearing cover is not required. In this case, simply remove the original plastic cage cover.

STEP 3: Set Chain Length and Adjust the Derailleur

Important: Proper chain length and derailleur adjustment are critical for correct shifting and drivetrain performance.

The official SRAM setup guide references the 21T cog as the setup position. On the stock SRAM cassette, this corresponds to cog number 6.

On the Garbaruk 13-speed cassette, the equivalent setup position is cog number 7.

Option 2 — Garbaruk Cage Setup Guide
